Could be they're uncertain about their English, or that they're reluctant to dealing internationally.

I've also read from a Dutchman, living in France that some Frenchman...
- Need a bit of conversation first
- see their prices as fixed, without explicitly stating so.

Thank you for you advice. Yesterday I made several new attempt. A friend of mine translated the letters to French, offered the full price through Leboncoin's secure payment, but no one answered.
I am starting to think that their messaging system is broken.

General observation: when chatting and mailing with forum members from the New World, I notice that people often do not use a salutation or closing in their correspondence, even in first contact. For me, that's highly unusual.

As far as I know "The French", I think that might come across to them as extremely rude, cutting of any chance of a deal.
