Hey guys what’s up. Idk how many of you are into playing guitar but I’ve recently got back into it because of my daughter. I used to play a little bit in my teenage years. She’s been taking lessons for like 3 years now she is 10. She started out with a cheap classical acoustic guitar and quickly moved up to a baby Taylor. She has been doing an awesome job and decided she wanted an electric for her birthday. So needless to say I went to guitar center and got her one. While I was there I saw a beautiful Made in Mexico blue burst fender Stratocaster. So we ended up leaving with 2 guitars that day… LOL Since then we decided to do a DIY telecaster style build. I figured I’d show you guys the finish on it I think the color came out awesome. Had a few bumps in the road while doing the finish but I think it is coming out good especially it being the first time I’ve done any staining/dying woodwork. Still working on more coats of polyurethane but this is it with like 4 coats of poly. Also some pics of the Stratocasters too.

In 11 months he's played, I've bought him 4 guitars...

one was a custom made Buckethead guitar with actual kill switches and Seymour Duncan pickups - loves that guitar and I only have @ $360 in it...

his most recent guitar is the Ernie Ball Music Man John Petrucci Majesty 6 that I paid $3600 for...

just last week, he made the School of Rock House Band, so this summer will be full of live gigs 🤘🏼😏

he's 14 and on 19-July, he'll hit his one year anniversary playing guitar 🙌🏼

That’s awesome, good for him! That’s an amazing guitar collection too! Hope he does well in his band. The only thing I don’t like about my new fender is the tremolo bridge (whammy bar) is a floating style bridge and if you rest your pick hand on it it moves when you don’t want it too. My daughters is hard tail and the one I learned on was old style tremolo bridge (not floating) so didn’t have that problem.

The Ibanez and the Majesty he has have floating bridges, but he doesn't really care or use the tremelo too much - it's not even installed on his guitar lol

Awesome dad. The Squier Strat was my very first electric as well. Bought a black and white for myself back around the mid 80's. Was never really in a band. Played with some friends, but nothing was ever serious. Even to this day I only know a couple of songs, and just make a lot of noise. Lol.

How about a Strat 3D printed in wood filament?
