Lens spontaneously delaminates

Working in an optical lab and also ophthalmic dispensing I’ve seen this happen and it could be a number of factors.. seeing as the usual causes have been eliminated (chemical exposure , temperature variation and expansion , ) one possibility may be eyewire/orbital clamping pressure on bevel of lenses.. if lenses fit super super snug over time hard coat and iridium can fracture or delaminate due to compressive forces exerting on the edge of the lenses ..

As far as manufacturing issues there could be a plethora of reasons that can cause this that would be 100% out of control of the end user/customer

Hey, I'm new to the forum. I only know a bit of history regarding X-metals. I only have one pair of the XX TiO2’s ... I never would think anything like that would happen to any Oakleys ... so sorry to hear about your terrible experience with your shades.
