I have been cutting Lenses.Seriously! Go and buy a set of those cheap $5 eBay lenses or some beater lenses and chop em. If you mess up, hardly a loss. Start with a large lens so if you end up overcutting the first time, you can cut again for a smaller orbital frame.
So you want me to list you? If so, I need your first name and approx location/city.I have been cutting Lenses.
Here my Post.
@SiRacer420
Thank's again for your tutorial.
It has brought me so many new opportunity.
I have cut now more than 10 sets of glasses.
I used a Dremel and the Wheel Grinder.
I prefer the Wheel Grinder and Belt Sander.
With the Dremel you can't see the your markings so good and you can slip easy and scratch the lens. With the Wheel Grinder our markings stay clean of dust and burrs are pulled away from the markings.
Finding the right masking tape is not so easy.
FrogTape does not sticks to hydrophobic lenses.
So for the the lenses in the pics I had to use a standard masking tape.
The FatCat lenses in my Avatar are hand cut.
The once in the pics. are for a Straight Jacket II.
Took less than 15min. to cut.
