Minute Machine different modes?

Hi, Oakley family.

I have just spotted a 2nd gen Minute Machine with the big second hand and the small one (3 position) moving. The 1/10 hand was stopped.

I always believed that the only way the big sec hand would move was when chronograph was activated.

Is there any other way the big sec hand would move, save by chrono activated?

If The 1/60 hand is moving, that means the chrono has been activated . The 1/10 hand stops moving after 30 seconds and will jump to position when the chrono is stopped or reset.
