oh I’m tracking on those but it’s the ones with no etching that are described as corvette, those are the ones I’m referring too.

The carbon-24k ones are known as Corvettes because it was given to the race team before it was put into regular production. That’s where most of us first saw them. It’s something you had to be there for back in the day to truly understand. Most newer collectors wouldn’t have that history and make that association. I can’t blame them however, since Oakley wouldn’t officially state that association either since they didn’t want to pay the licensing fee for that specific pair.
