If you have any corrections or information to be added (including what DOESN'T work), please let me know!

Check out Which Lenses and Which Rubber Parts are Interchangeable.

If you read nothing else, please read the next 4 paragraphs (and the "Epilogue").

Grateful Thanks!
I'm relatively new to the Oakley game (compared to some of you guys). I need to acknowledge the incredible contribution that the people tagged below, have made to this community over not just days or weeks, but years. Thank you so much for all the hours of hard work, lenses destroyed and money lost. I'm am grateful for your sacrifice and wisdom!

I've found this to be truer each time I've tracked down more information over these past few days.

It's true what 12th Century theologian and author, John of Salisbury wrote,

"We are like dwarfs sitting on the shoulders of giants. We see more, and things that are more distant, than they did, not because our sight is superior or because we are taller than they, but because they raise us up, and by their great stature add to ours."

Introduction
This is a quick reference (and hopefully), up to date guide on what donor lenses work with which Oakley sunglasses (I've mainly concentrated on the X-metals).

I've stolen information found from this thread - Cutting Lenses - What Works and from here.

I've acknowledged the O.F. member who was the source of the information. If there is no reference, it's either from @Ryan_C's 2014 list, or an unregistered user. The reason I do this is to give kudos to the source, but also so that you can obtain further information (if that is required).

This thread includes some non-Oakley e.g. matte Dillon lens/@Marien Mariener lens donor compatibility. Don't know what a matte Dillon lens is? Go here and here.

Notes
It's self evident that donors need to be larger than the frame being cut for. But how much larger? According to @Chris A Hardaway, "it depends on the way they are beveled. Normally I want 1 mm total width, and 1 mm height. (So 0.5mm extra per edge)... But if they have any odd step-bevel (like Oakley wires) then 4 mm total!"

Although some donor lenses are larger than the lens to be cut to, they still aren't large enough to be cut by machine. Donor lenses that fall into this "in between" size can still be cut, but must be cut by hand (and will have a note that they need to be "hand cut"). They CANNOT be machine cut (at least not by @Chris A Hardaway 's machine).

Straight Jacket, Original
Yes - Gauge 8L (hand cut only) (@hondazcrxsi)

These shouldn't have that bevel being mounted in plastic frames.
Flak 2.0 (Asia Fit), Flak Draft (Asia Fit), and M2 (Asia Fit) are all slightly larger than their normal counterpart. Unless specified, all lenses listed below are standard lenses. For more info, click here (thanks to @DKO).

BC = Base Curvature. The lenses are curved to match the shape of a normal eyeball (BC 8.75). Anything less, and there will be extremely mild distortion to optics or more importantly, irritating contact of eyelashes with lens!

If you want to know more about BC, check out this fantastic link provided by @Carrera1963.

Yes - Yes, it works for cutting. You're good to go!
Yes, but barely - Yes it works, but there's not much margin for error. Don't try this at home.
Yes, but - Yes, it works for cutting, but you may have to accept some slight imperfections which may include vents or the wrong BC. In the words of @GRFMotorsports, "Just because it fits, doesn't mean its right."
No - No! It won't work as it has been confirmed that someone has definitely tried it before...and failed.

Extras

Cutting lenses yourself?

Use a dremel with a fine rotery diamond bit then 1400 grit sandpaper for the edges (@SoulFulFrog)
- Use an X-Acto knife to trace the old lens and cut a clean break on Iridium to lessen any chances of Iridium peeling. I don't use tape usually although I probably should. especially after cutting the G30s for this (M Frame to XS). I had a slight mishap and would have not happened had it been taped. But it's pretty minor (@VolcanOG)
- If using polarized lenses, read this first.

Don't Know How?
Go here for a tutorial and check out how @Andre-v8 did his here. Brilliant step by step tutorial by @SiRacer420 here.
Here's the short version of what you need courtesy of @ColdShotxx.
The tools used:
• dremel with a cutting disk, 80 sanding wheel, and 120 sanding wheel
• Fresh exacto blade
• Ultra fine permanent marker(very important to be this small!)
• Masking tape
• ENTIRE DAY FREE - it took me 2.5 hours to complete, but I had the mind frame it would take 10

New Turbine

Other Lenses
Ikon are good, but slightly harder to clean than OEM. Their 24k lens is very good, +red and black have a slight greenish tint, but are otherwise very good. They seem durable, I've had mine in a couple of beater frames with no issues. (@NoFair)

Dillon Lens Information here

Before you buy Dillons. Read the following....

I don't know a ton about Dillon lenses specifically to be sure but I know enough about optics to give my speculation. Oakley (HDO) or XYZ optics makes sure the "base in" prism to eliminate "image jump" is mastered in each model. (Except Shields like radar, radar EV, Batwolf and the like that is cnc cut from sheets). You'll notice the lens thicknesses vary frame to frame on the 8.75 base curved lenses. Follow this logic: a straightlink frame although 8.75 base curvature might be wrapped 20° around the face, and 9° pantoscopic tilt toward the cheeks, while sitting only 10mm from the eyes. A gauge 8 frame might only wrap 18° around the face, have 7° panto tilt, but sit further at 13mm from the eyes (vertex distance). Therefore Oakley mastered each set of lenses to balance optics and eliminate image jump in a slightly different amount of prism depending on those "XYZ" factors.

I get the impression that Dillon lenses are made in much smaller batches, almost like RX glasses are made. Maybe only aa feefew hundred blanks per batch. That's reflected in why their prices are so high, their margins are much smaller due to their lower demand and distribution, plus higher production cost.

Anyway, back to my point, old glasses (pre 2000s) and even designer glasses had no prism ground in the lenderslen "balance the eyes". I suspect Dillon does have base in Prism, but maybe a generic or consistent amount. Typically 0.13 to 0.37 diopters base-in prism is normal on "wrapped" glasses in the "current industry standards". I figure again Dillon didn't vary model to model... Just used say 0.25 base-in prism on all models.

So that would mean potentially getting Dillon's in a different (Dillon) frame would produce different results, better and worse. Or @htrap2294 you could try adjusting the pads to sit frame closer to face (spread pads) while wrapping the frame center bridge more.... Or try flattening the wrap slightly, while getting the frame to sit further off your face (pinch the pads close together)... Messing with different vertex distance, and wrap angles will change the optics... Hopefully for better!

You might notice image jump changes or reduces as you manipulate and adjust the frame... Just be careful or have a pro (optician) do it... Warn then the CR39 lenders are brittle, and laminated, making them prone to chip.

See what the fuss is about here (courtesy of @Litos who started it all!!)

Before buying Dillon lenses, check out @htrap2294's Dillon Lens Review.

Epilogue
Of all the lists I've put together, this one was the most challenging. But, as I wrote in my "Grateful Thanks" above, I was blown away by the input and impact, some of the more seasoned O.F. members had. So it was only fitting that I dedicated it to someone who clearly had an incredible impact during his time here (even though I didn't know him at all).[/USER]

I read in another post that you wrote that it was possible, but tight. Can you please clarify?
I did a fast jacket xl cut to Romeo for @bean323 I believe they turned out ok. But the next two I got didn't fit so we cut for another product.
The RPM I did for @#1 Stunna! And they turned out excellent. However flat spots are difficult to avoid. Hand cutters only. I won't do again lol.

I'll put in a disclaimer. I think it unlikely that anyone will be purposely choosing those routes, but for the sake of completeness, I'd prefer to leave them in if that's ok with you.
