Official Chit-Chat Thread

Starting last year my company started giving us the day after Thanksgiving off. Not a holiday but hey I'm not complaing for a paid day off

IIRC from a paper I wrote on halloween in middle or high school, it originated in Mexico - there it was more of a week long festival than a single day event.
For the year I lived in Milan, Italy there was no trick or treating but people did dress up for parties and some clubs had costume competitions...
It’s of Celtic origin, you might have confused it with the Mexican Day of the Dead starting on the 1st Nov: Samhain - Wikipedia

Lots of influences from Dia de Muertos on modern Halloween though.
