Painting Holbrooks

Im looking to Frankenstein two different pairs of Holbrook into eyeglasses but I'm having a hard time finding a polished black frame with black rivets, if I bought matte black frames with silver rivets what are the odds that spray painting them gloss would work?

You could just lacquer a gloss finish directly onto the matte frame.
