Pro M cracked arm repair ideas

Hello fellow Oakleyholics. I have a Pro M frame with a cracked left arm. It is cracked right at the point where the ear sock starts. Hopefully I can get the sock rubber off without fully breaking it (warm water and careful pressure). Ideas on the repair? I was thinking about (somehow, Dremel?) cutting a groove in the arm across the crack, epoxying a wire of some kind in there, sanding and painting. I'm sure this has happened before and someone with more experience with repair will have suggestions of products to use.
