A family member wants to use a PC workstation that doesn't currently have a camera for her son to do some online classes. once upon a time these things were becoming obsolete because everything nowadays has a camera. ALL SOLD OUT, at least 4 weeks for most no name overpriced piece of junk to arrive!

she could drop $400++ for support overkill conference room camera. I wish I were close to her so I could just setup some old phone/pc/tablet/dslr they have laying around and call it a day but they are in WA and I am in CA.

If he’s doing online K-12 classes his school may have a Chromebook or IPad he can check out. They have built in webcams.

yeah the problem is not that they don’t have devices. it’s just the setup is already familiar as a “workstation” where work is done.
