Using a fine viscosity cyanoacrylate, a small condiments cup, a sewing needle, and a razorblades/Frogskin temple pic. I’ve managed to wholly repair both temples with hairline and slightly far-gone cracked hinges.

After several dips into a 3/8’s of an inch deep pooling of cyanoacrylate of both hinges and letting them rest over a few minutes, occasionally using the sewing needle to clear hinge mounting holes.

The left temple is squeaky, though both are tight.

Some mild discoloration at the hinges is no biggie in all due consideration to have a functional 25yo Frame again.

Thanks, it was my first pair, felt I had to try and do right by it.

Looks like I get to revisit this again.

Will just have to use a fine bead or the head of a pin, coated in “super glue” on that extremely fine, hairline crack.. this was supposed to be a mint frame, and I just now noticed this.

Looks like one of those cracks that just appear before your very eyes!! 😩
Sadly after I fix this pair, I’ll probably retire both, my original frame that I more or less successfully fixed, discoloration be damned. And then this one too.

Or just wear on a rare occasion.

That’s the problem with the early o-matter, even with proper care, they were still very fragile. One wrong look, and poof, crack.
