The Video Games Thread

It seems every 4 years or so is enough of a jump in PC tech performance to make me want to upgrade. it's also a perfect spot to hand down my current PC to my niece while it is still well performing with the current AAA game offerings.

I just got the new Alienware m18 laptop a few weeks ago. Specs are I9 13900HX, RTX 4090 mobile, 32gb ram. The 4090 mobile in most of the reviews I have seen seems to preform just a hair above a desktop RTX 3090. I probably should have just got a 4090 desktop, but I've always gone the route of the "desktop replacement" category of laptops and this thing is a rocket ship to me. I upgraded from a I9 9900k/RTX 2080 Alienware Area 51m. I was worried this wouldn't feel like a drastic enough upgrade, but the performance bump in games is impressive. VR runs sooo much smoother. Cyberpunk 2077 with ultra ray tracing, all ultra settings, and DLSS on Quality is pretty high frames. that frame gen stuff with the 40 series cards is the real deal. With the old RTX 2080 medium settings with any ray tracing options on was chop city in that game.

Yeah, there was a sizeable jump in performance with the 30x0 cards, so you’d definitely notice it. I game more on console than on PC (as you can see above!) so my 3070 is plenty enough to run those games I do play on PC (mainly older MMOs) as well as working as my general PC. Maybe I’ll take a look when we get to 50x0.

Wait a little more time and you'll be surprised how much technology has advanced. Soon the graphics cards will be even better.

Working through the FF pixel remasters and have got to VI in plenty of time to finish it before XVI comes out. I’ve enjoyed the nostalgia trip (though it’s only the second time I’ve played III and in rather different guise to the DS’s 3D remake).

I have always been fascinated by the video game industry and look at it as one of the fastest growing industries in the world. It's no secret that video games have become an integral part of our culture and society. I am convinced that games not only entertain, but can also educate, improve motor skills, develop thinking and logic. But this is only if they are used in reasonable doses and in the right context. I would also like to recommend you to visit Pin Up Casino ᐉ Sports Betting ᐉ 250FS + $500 BONUS. It is an online casino with a wide range of games and attractive bonuses for new users. You will find many different games there, including slots, roulette, poker and more. I personally enjoy playing casino games and find it to be a great way to relax after a long day at work. But of course, don't forget to play responsibly and follow the rules of the gaming policy.
The capability of this graphics card is amazing

Haven't left the TV since the 12th. Ive played them all since i gotcthe first zelda for xmas decades ago. I always need to buy the system because zelda is really the only Nintendo game i play. Definitely want some prizm gaming lenses. My eyes hurt playing these days.

I haven’t played enough of BotW to justify a day one purchase of Tears, but I like that limited edition console a lot. I have a launch Switch and play it exclusively as a handheld (I’ve never even set the dock up to try it) so the OLED upgrade would make sense for me too. Hmmmm. I think my history with Nintendo has something to do with how I play the Switch - I’ve had every handheld console (bar GameBoy Color (sic) and Micro) but none of the home consoles (unless you count the NES and SNES Classic Minis at least).

I had all the day one releases of botw to. But I lost everything including the switch awhile back. I will say I don't use it as a handheld much, but the oled is much better

The Switch is a pretty good machine for Final Fantasy now - I to XII there (except XI, which as an MMO is not that suited to it anyway). The XIII games aren’t the best but do need to make it to the current gen at some point.
