I think you are right. Seems that they miss the plates in the front. Seller claims that it is new.

Definitely NOT new. My wife has had one since 2010 and deployed with it 6 or 7 times and it's been indestructible for her. No idea how the three metal rails could be missing on this one without some specific intent and effort to remove them...and why would anyone?

Weird its a Kitchen Sink but like others have pointed out the metal bacling plate with the storage loops is missing.. Still a great bag though and maybe previous owner has a legit reason for removing them or maybe they eventually just fell off.. who knows..

That's a legit kitchen sink backpack but like there's a planet out it's missing the meal backing plate and loops for storage maybe the previous owner had a legitimate reason for amount them or maybe it just eventually off from wearing tear although I don't really see how that's possible my went through having back and still looks like a brand-new bag LOL
