I just went through the worst experience with oakley.com. They had a sale on Friday May 2nd. I purchased the MUZM Planet x sub zeros. I used Paypal as my vendor but somehow the order was dropped . I called PayPal to find out what had happened and PayPal said the order went through but was dropped on Oakleys end. I called Oakley up and explained what happened and Oakley was like sorry but nothing we can do. No kidding. I got a manager on the line to repurchase the glasses and they wouldnt honor the sale price even though they admitted that it was an error on their end. After kicking and screaming he said he would refund me the difference after the glasses arrived and for me to call back when I received the glasses. I got a delivery date for the 15th but no glasses arrived. I called back today and i was transferred over to the same manager. Daniel. He acted as he had never spoke with me before and Im like. No. You are the one that put in the order for me. He said Oakley ran out of the sub zeros and I would have to wait until they make more. I was like no thank you and please give me my money back. He did return my money but did absolutly nothing for me for all of the issues.

Definitely the sort of thing that will likely get you a 30% off code if you email their customer service and complain. I would definitely do so even if a code wasn't a known possibility, sounds like they did not handle your issue well at all.

FWIW I had a very similar situtation and really pushed to get a nice discount code for my next purchase but even after multiple rounds of back and forth with CS (they reply so slowly) the best they could offer was 10%.

Yikes, that's rough. Their generosity may vary, would guess some reps are more likely to hand them out than others.

Here is the best thread I know of about Oakley discount codes in case anyone hasn't seen it. I managed to score a 30% via email after some difficulties ordering the MUZM Straight Jacket 99 a few weeks ago using the advice from that thread.

Imagine working for Oakley, especially in Customer Service/Retention/Warranty for like 10 years and then LUX buys you and you have to work for them. What is their training like? How do you reverse everything and every customer service skill that you have perfected over the years to "just say no..."
