I have studied this subject with my own TB2's and it is true that when you wear them with the aftermarket strap there is more space between the head and the first link. On the Red Anniversary the color is all dark enough I rolled with it and am good with it but with the LS that bright yellow just showed too much so I ended up going ahead and cutting the OEM strap I had. Strap to Strap they measure out the same but on the OEM that white part is some kind of hardened piece that I think helps give it more rigidity not to bend and form the larger gap. I had considered looking into what could be done to the attaching end on the aftermarket to firm it up but it went into my pile of projects yet complete. Overall though... very grateful to have Spenc straps as an option because a TB2 would be only wearable to one size wrist the rest of its life if it was not for the option so thank you!

That one is a fake. Case back etching is off, angle of the links are at 90 degrees, amongst other things

@zwc0442 is master at flushing out fake MM’s.

Yes, good eye . They did turn out to be fake. I could not see it in the pics. Had them in hand and they were 2 grams lighter than the original (same number of links). As soon I held them the band was very stiff. Thanks for your reply.

Just spotted on eBay it looks different to what I’ve saw before for a blue faced blade plus the date is normally black? thought I’d call it out incase anyone is lured in and wants to check

I can take a pic of mine when I get home the gap from case to band is considerably larger than the oem band.

I figured out that the aftermarket bands stretch there cause it doesn't have the second inner "HARD RUBBER" band that holds it to the body. So it flexes there. I just noticed mine doing it after wearing it.

I’m sure the white date is normally a tell tale sign

My blade is black date and all the others I’ve seen are the same. Similar to the blade I posted I think the white dates are fakes but someone can probably correct me! Also if that’s meant to be an Oakley zip case that is 100% fake they’re black all through they don’t have a fleecey blanket like that

I'm talking to the same guy on MP. Allmost fooled me. The back is better than other fakes, but the plastic in between the blade teeth seems off, not smooth enough. Crown seems too high, case weirdly padded, pics do not seem to be taken by the same persons. I'm flagging this one, even though MP is probably will not give a f*ck about this.

I felt that something was fishy. I think he uses the pics from eBay where he bought it recently. I’ll stay away. Thanks man
