Brutal to see that the screws need to be drilled.

One of my greatest finds from Goodwill, next to two pair of Juliets. @StG, one of the screws did need to be drilled out which I did and all the thread holes are still good to go. I put in a battery that seems good enough to get it ticking but looses 4 minutes per hour. I'm hoping thats a old battery issue. The worst flaw I have found is that the date cannot be adjusted, not when I pass 12 or even from the crown. Any thoughts? I think that might be out of my skillset.
