It’s been posted before and while there are other members here that express interest, I believe very strongly in curated collections. No doubt there are many members who would like to purchase a Copper Penny. Have they been a member more than a month or two? How much have they contributed to this site? Are they just here for what they can glean from the sales thread?

In any event people know I have a very focused collection of what I call specimen pieces. If you have thoughts of parting with your Copper Penny, dm me and know it will be going to a good home.

Thanks. Peace!

Not saying others aren’t interested. The question is would you rather sell one to someone who just got here a week ago or would you prefer to forward the item to someone who is a serious enthusiast with a proven track record.

I here what your saying, but ever since I’ve been on the forum it’s been fist come when it come to selling. Not saying you should hit up well established members first, but if a new guy posted looking for one yesterday and someone started doing a deal with that person, and you posted this today, it would be messed up to cancel with them just because you been here longer

No, no. I agree. Not suggesting that. My point is as stated. The vast majority of sellers post here because the idea is keeping it in the community. Once they go outside like eBay etc. the collectibles are lost. Trust is eroded and people who aren’t interested in the brand take over. There’s no seniority nor am I suggesting that. I am wary of Johnny Come Latelys who seek to buy up rare pieces having just gotten off the banana boat. Investment in this forum is more than just clicking pay!

But I digress.
