Hey guys,
Complete newbie here on the subject of X-Metals and this forum has been instrumental for me to purchase my first X-Metal frame, a Gen 3 plasma Juliet, from eBay seller make-a-statement. The transaction was super smooth and he even sent me a T6 screwdriver to help with lens changes.
As I was trying to remove the ear socks to replace them, I notice what looks like thin cracks all along the inside of the both ear stems. The seller says these are casting imperfections and they’re nothing to worry about. Just thought I’d get a second opinion from all you helpful folks if that is indeed the case or these could actually be stress fractures due to age.
Appreciate this forum so much for keeping alive the awesomeness that is Oakley X-Metal!
