eBay is for desperate times.
List your wants in the exchange then search others

I`m sorry, but i seem to have missed an important element here. I am by no means a collector, i am merely looking for everyday Oakley shades to wear, not keep in a cabinet for display purposes. So how does this pan out in here, i am assuming there are both types frequenting this forum.

very reluctant to buy on ebay. There are so many fakes, and ebay does not give a stuff. I bought a pair and when they were in hand to were such rubbish fakes. I returned them and reported him to ebay. He has changed his name several times since (I even put up a warning post on here).

He left me positive feedback (only feedback he can leave for a buyer) but then said I had mental issues in the feedback because I wanted to do the return officially through ebay rather than take his word for it he would refund if I just posted them straight back!

There is plenty of both here. Some collect/wear others collect/hoard. If you're looking for newer models they tend to show up frequently for less than you would pay retail or on eBay. If you stick around you'll most likely find what you are looking for or something similar for much less than you would pay at a store. I personally like vintage models and rarely pick up anything new. Like most of the people that frequent this site we know what we're looking for as well as the value.

Keep making posts and when you have access to the exchange section you'll see that there are plenty of new posts each day with both new and used glasses. In the meantime fire away with the questions, you've found the right place for people that love to talk about all things Oakley, we don't all bite.

I`m not fussy. I don`t need the latest models. So far i`ve tried to get the hang of some of the model names just to get started and tried to narrow down my preferences. The two ebay links give a good idea of what i am after so not after anything too spaced out like i see many in here like to wear.

From my understanding the particular model says something about the size, which is a bit counterintuitive. I was expecting a model to cater for various sizes. To compare with my previous preferences, i have used Polaroids for years. Something like these so want to keep to this style.

That being said, i think gascans are too small so looking at models like Split Shot Fuel Cell Double Edge but may be more inclined to Split Shot. I have an xl head with eyes spaced out a bit from each other. When
i use my binoculars i have to adjust them so the monoculars are as far apart as possible so to speak.

I am sure there are other Oakley models out there i have yet to discover that will also appeal to me.

I also watch YT videos to educate myself. I saw one where they said Oakley lost some of its grace after the production moved to China some years back and the workmanship of the frames became poorer.
