Frogskins Valentino Rossi: fake or legit ?

From what I understand from things I've read around her (and asking a similar question about gen2 frogs when I first joined) they changed the o matter formula between gen 2 & 3 frogs, making the newer ones slightly lighter and more flexible, though maybe feeling 'cheaper'?

I have 1 pair of gen 2's which do feel like they're a stronger plastic, but at the same time less flexible & more prone to being snapped, whilst they may feel cheaper, gen 3's can probably take a lot more abuse before they give up?

That's exactly what I feel about them, lighter more flexible and 'cheaper', but it's soothing to read that they are more resistant. In the end, this is what I was afraid of.
Valuable knowledge you pass on. Thumb.
Maybe my concerns are, because I'm more into the sturdy metals.
