I should Work at Oakley
Howdy all.
As I think back, I've been a Oakley customer since the 80's.
I remember getting a pair of Frog Skins... Then I splurged on a pair of Sub-Zeros. (Sigh... Those were awesome.)
In the '90 as I got into skiing and Biking, I started a collection of M-Frames and lenses, which I still have to this day.
I then bought a pair of Titanium Oakley T-wires, which I still have but value too much to wear much. Still 10 /10 condition.
About six years ago, a military friend of my gave me his pair of S.I Gas Cans, and I wear them every day.
Recently, I bought a pair of Square Wire 2.0 frames and put some Revant lenses in them, and they became my day to day glasses. (I love the Revant Ice Blue lenses with that slight rose tint to them...)
On a local "offerup" I scored a pair of Fast Jackets for about $20 and put some lenses in them, and then later found another set of frames and new lenses for another $40, and then had to get OEM Persimon lenses so they can be used while driving.
And the next thing you know... I'm hooked all over again.
I have found myself collecting the original Metal X Valuts, and refurbishing them with new foam from a member here. I'm buying new Square Wire 2.0 frames, and original lenses when they appear at a decent price.
But now... Now I've truly caught the sickness, and have scored a pair of X-Metal Juliet frames, and am collecting original OEM lenses for them...
So yeah, my name is Questor, and I'm an addict.
