Hi folks,
I'm a brand new, super newbie, member on the site, though a long time Oakley owner and wearer. Having recently thought I'd lost my long time owned sunglasses - OO Wire silver/amber with Blue Iridium lenses, which I bought in 2000 - I went on a hunt to find some replacements. I bought two frames on eBay, one of which I just can't identify, and they don't appear to have any markings over than the Oakley logo, and CE marking on them. They were advertised as Oakley E Wire 2.0 Rx (Bronze), but they don't look like any gen 1 or gen 2 E-Wire's that I have been able to find pictures of so I'm wondering if I just got scalped for a fake pair
All the screws are Philips head, the nose bombs are pressed in, not screwed, the Oakley logo seems correct for the (claimed) age of the frames. The (Rx) on the lens appears to be printed not etched.
Since I want to put Rx lenses in them, I've been trying to conclusively ID them, so far unsuccessfully.
Can anyone offer me either a positive ID, or ID them as fakes?
Oh...and I did find my original pair, so I'd be looking at putting different coloured lenses in the 2 "new" pairs I have so I can have a little more variety in my life
Thank you!
