seriously, I've been trying to touch up a pair , took me hours with jewelers rouge, 0.5 micron finishing paste, acetone, and still not where it was before the fiasco

There's more to it than just polishing with a compound..All the casting marks have to go first. Grinding, sanding and sanding again. For me the actual polishing part with compound takes about a half hour. Before that it takes me anywhere from 5 hours for a simple carbon xs or juliet to 20 hours for a old gen 1 R1 or crater/mars. Sanding is the key to it all.

agreed sanding is huge first step but I get to a point where the original finish is totally gone and it's shining but not mirrored. There are still casting marks but I worry if I keep at them there will be nothing left.

it's like almost there, was gonna try a cape cod cloth for a couple hours tomorrow and call it a day. tired of it. It was great before a miscommunication with x-man took it from high polish to tuned and xmetal. ahh!!!

anywayyyy to put this back on track go @SEAN WAYNE for these crazy good prices because yeah I would ask a lot more to do any of that to anyone else's stuff lol
