Well played Sir.Hey guys, I'm very excited to be posting in this forum! I was in my local second hand outdoors gear thrift shop up here in Alaska which is called the Hoarding Marmot. I occasionally go to that store to find some needed gear for cheap or just to roam around where I always look for hidden gems.
My first go to is the sunglasses case. I've had an affinity for all sorts of mountaineering and sport wear sunglasses and anything that just screams quality. I saw these funky oakley sunglasses near the bottom rack that looked like full metal matrix glasses and they immeditaly caught my eye. As discovering Oakley whisker sunglasses a couple years back and falling in love with the style I knew these were rare. The price tag had been slashed down from $150 to $100 then to $75. The deacription read; Oakley Juliet sunglasses, BRAND NEW with original box.
After a quick Google search I knew I was buying these at that moment.. The reason why the price had been slashed so many time is because they've been in the case since early October 2020. As the cashier pulled out the original box I was so ecstatic and in shock that someone has had these for years and finally decided to bring them out of the closet to the local outdoors thrift store.
I have never seen such quality made sunglasses in my life and being a mechanical engineer I can really connect with the craftsmanship behind the metallurgy and fabrication. They will forever be in my collection and probably my most desired sunglasses to wear since they are totally insane looking. Thank you for reading my buying experience and here are some photos for you guys to enjoy.
