Looking for a Crankcase - do I trust Ebay (from Japan)

Hi - bit of a lurker as I've nowhere near the kid of collections you guys post. Mainly a few pairs of glasses, sunglasses and clothes. The only Oakley watch I have is a DoubleTap I bought from a UK member on here a few years ago. Other watches are a pair of Rolex's I inherited (1976 #5133 Submariner and a bi-metal Datejust) - Also have a nice 'Animal' RIP Titanium watch that must be 20+ yrs old now.

Anyway - I'm looking for a Crankcase (4 dial) with metal bracelet - there's a few on Ebay but are these reasonable prices given they are approx £800 / $1000? Are then the real thing or fakes?

Correct me if I am wrong but market value for Crankcase is $250-350,-

I guess it's a case of with limited options, it's what they go for - very few on the market unless someone on here has one to sell for a better price..

Its just a standard Crankcase.
90% Oakley is sold as special edition Y2K bla bla bla.

Almost everything Oakley is over-priced. And there are many, many fakes. The only way to ask if something is fake is individually,

well I've just taken a 'punt' (uk term for a risk/chance) on this one from the US.. just popped up and seemed to be in the price range recommended above.

Looks like a decent example given age/use marks.. and stainless links which is what I wanted rather than having to chase down a replacement unobtanium band or cut one down.
