Most mythical Oakley pairs used in Cycling in 1995/2005

Agreed...the Eyeshades, to me, are the true original cycling glasses. Though I always wore Blades/RazorBlades or M Frames as I felt they offered similar advantages with a cooler fit.
True but I prefers the later artisitc directino from Oakley, more original, more futuristic

This is a fun thread! I know the razor blades and eyeshades are iconic styles, but I’d take an m-frame any day- I just like the look and functionality of them more.
Absolutely. The M-Frames had a more refined design while preserving the ease of lens swapping to tailor the glasses the the activity.

At the time, I thought it was great as I could buy a pair of M-Frames and just buy lenses that I needed. Instead I just ended up with multiple M-Frames for different activities.😆

Hello O fans,
I’m posting this topic to find out about the legendary Oakley models that cyclists wore on the roads of the Grand Tours between 1995 and 2005. I mainly joined this forum driven by my passion for Oakley pairs from that period, especially those used by the “convicts of the road.”
For me, the iconic models are the following, but I’d really love to discover more!

The Racing Jackets (so mythical !)

The M frame, the model still continue to evolve (this picture is golden)

The Jawbone (funny to know racing jackets qill become very similar to this) the colorway is magnificent

The Radar Path (livestrong colors)

These designs were so futuristic and bold I'd really like they do these kind of designs but these days the aesthetic is more conventional with all those ski mask looking cycling gogles.

Thank you for reading, I can't wait to discover more models, maybe less known or cryptic from that golden era of Oakley.
Thank you for sharing

My Father gave me his old cycling goggles, can u help me identify it ? It s not Oakley, but look kinda like Half Jackets and stuff

Geraint Thomas had such an association with his white Racing Jackets, when Ineos Grenadiers changed sponsorship to SunGod, they had to design a new pair specificaly for him.

The GT's are their only non-shield sport frame.

I had to get a couple of pairs and managed to get G's autograph on one pair at the Tour of Britain yesterday.
