We need some before and after's along the way!

Getting my 3rd Mega Tower was quite an ordeal... but it's here now. Here are a few pics of the trip. Special thank you to @thisguy - he met me halfway, and wasted a whole day driving, to help me get Tower #3. We each drove about 10 hours (5 hours each way). It was quite a trip. I went through so many tunnels, I lost count.

When I found @thisguy, it was raining and miserable out, probably why he wasn't creeped out when I asked "hey, do you want to go in the back of the van to take pictures?"

Here are pics of the case when I got it home. It's going to look very different when I'm don't with it.

I'm still trying to kick this COVID. I have a ton of work to do to get the 3rd Mega Tower ready for use, but it's hard when you don't quite feel right. I might just try getting all of the plexiglass out of the display along with the shelves, and starting to set up a polishing station for all of that.

I was able to noodle around in the garage today, and make a small amount of progress... baby steps.

I disassembled the top of Tower #3, which allows you to remove all of the plexiglass, which is in very good condition. It will also make it a little easier to polish the crown, and rest of the case, with the plexiglass out of the way. There are 4 larger plexiglass panels (including the main door), and 4 shelves. They are all laid out, ready for polishing now. The bolts and hinges are thankfully in very good condition as well.

I made some progress today - all 8 pieces of plexiglass are polished and ready to go! Not bad for 30-year-old plastic!

Here is one of the 4 shelves... they are all really clean.

... and here is the main door... again very clear... probably the nicest panels out of all of my displays.

Wow makes me want to polish mine again not by hand they might come out a little better. Looks great!
