Hi Oakley Group, I just bought some Oakley Holbrook XL sunnies. When folded, the arms touch the back of the lense and make scratches on both sides.... disappointing to have this design flaw. Has anyone else had this problem and what did they do?.

Dip the earstem end in hot water (not boiling) for 2 minutes, take it out and bend the tip inwards / downwards at the curve. Voila! The tip of the earstem now rests on the frame instead of touching the lens.

Yes, this happens with some Holbrook XLs. Most people store them in the hard case to prevent the arms from touching the lenses, and if scratches already appeared, Oakley support can help with repair or replacement under warranty.

I remember when all the old wire frames used to do the same thing. Ahh the good old days...
