polished x metal - re polish?

Hi All,

I recently purchased some Polished half X and was wondering is the finish on the titanium actually polished titanium or is it like a chrome plating -
Essentially, if needed could i take the frame to a buffing wheel and try to re polish the back to mirror finish?

wondering if anyone has attempted this before??

It is a polished titanium alloy. You can absolutely hit it with a buffing wheel.

All the titanium polished pairs are not chromed in any way. So yes, small scratches can be taken out easily. I use ultra fine grit wet-sandpaper.
