I can buy a set off eBay that's positive red. It's already mars ready.
Just can't seem to find a willing cutter out there to possibly add black somehow

You'd need a lens like that to begin with that they can cut from...and it would have to be the same base curve (8.75 for X-Metals)

I think it's because changing the color of the lens could ruin the optical clarity of it.

Cutters don't make custom lenses in that sense, but they can take a lens and cut it down to fit your frame. So you'd have to find a lens that looks like that and has the same thickness.

use this product then . I used it on a mustang I owned came geat. Like any paint light even coats suggestion put back paper first with hole on back first see if that gives disired color if so spray from back. Make circle with a cut out. spray till almost as dark as you want it to be , them remove outer ring of circle. Spray again when done remove inner circle . That should give ghost red and bright red for desired affect you want.

Will do. I ordered a set of positive red off eBay
I will try to work my way from outer in gradually getting the desired effect
