Replacing screw on polishe Juliet

The left arm on my polished Juliet was getting loose so I went to tighten it but found the head of the screw was stripped. I have a spare screw so I removed the bad screw and now I can NOT for the life of me get the arm back on, washers in place, and tighten the new screw! It looks like when not under tension from the screw, the gap where the arm mounts is spread wide and the screw wont snag the threads without it being under pressure. Does anyone have any tips on how to get the screw to thread back in?

Leave it to Sparky to come up with a zip tie solution!! Us fiber splicers are the same way. We use them for everything.

Just to close this thread out I ordered brand new screws and did use a zip tie. Arm is back on, thank you!
