Sample Jawbreakers?

Hey, so I’ve had these jawbreakers for 5+ years (found them). But I am confused about whether or not they could possibly be fake or possibly not fit replacement lenses because they were samples? I got some lenses from oakleys amazon store for 55 bucks but I see now that maybe they were fake since they wouldn’t fit.

Oakley Jawbreakers Sample?

I have a blue and white Saphire Iridium Oakley Jawbreakers that say sample on the arm. I've noticed that the lens is shaped a bit differently from my other Jawbreakers. Are these good to keep or should I just sell them?

Maybe I'm missing something but I don't see what the fit issue is.
Yeah samples are out there... Even early production ones marked NPI (New Product Introduction). I have several myself.

Maybe I got some bad lenses from Amazon Oakley store then? Because the original lenses in that frame fit into the jawbreakers so easily. However I was struggling to get the one from Amazon in. Like it was a bitch and I gave up because I didn’t want to break them? Not sure if they were maybe 55 bucks because they were slightly off or something. I am ordering new lenses since there’s a sale rn on Oakley and testing legit ones when they get here.

Hard to say, I doubt genuine Oakley lenses would be out of spec that bad. It's possible someone bought a pair of legit and returned a fake for the refund. This is a common scam.

Yeah I am not entirely sure what happened. The reviews all seem positive besides a couple people claiming and showing fakes. Some guy had the same problem as me, his were a couple millimeters off so they fit loose and moved around while mine straight up didn’t fit. I just ordered replacement lens from Oakley so I am really hoping they fit.

Welp. I got the lenses directly from Oakley and yeah the lenses don’t fit. I feel like I have to sort of force it if I want to try and lock it in. The original ones on it slides on easily…. It’s like I would have to bend the lens a little somehow to get it to fit. That sucks….
