The Jamin Jannard Rarity Sale Discussion Thread

Im all for the one offs..... the new taters are redic.

But they are just going more than likely to the same place like any highend art....but i always understood this was supposedly for the fans.

I wonder if the guys would ever consider a pair to raffle .....at least us poor folk stand a chance (all be it a slim one) and they will still most likely get enough cash to fund the project $20 a ticket 100 tickets only??

I completely agree. We were close to that with tater in that chat thread with all of us..(he even agreed to it)... remember?. I think now though with the way the prices are going on the bay we'll be seeing them there only. He did agree to a raffle... we just didn't get off our butts to really make it happen.. You really can't blame them for doing it this way.. its a huge money maker. Perhaps some will hit the secondary market and drop in price. Who knows. You also can go to tater and get one done.. it was expensive when I asked but still alot less than what the auctions are going for. Might be worth bringing up again in the group. Just to see if everyone is willing to get into it. I'm sure he's still interested. Money is money.

So the final pair in Jannard, Takumi & Petterson series has been sold and given that the 4th of July pair proceeds were being donated to a children's hospital, the remaining pairs amassed a nice haul for 7 months of sales.
I know I'm missing the Fice prototype from the mix and didn't get the final amount for the leatherback frogs, but all tallied up the 16 auctions netted over $48K less the $4250 (4th July frog) & eBay fees. Not too shabby Nige!

They can all take a nice vacation now.. what I wanna know is who the heck is buying them. Prices for frogskins have been slowly on the decline. Yet most of those show the opposite. I do know a few people that bought them but still the latest pairs IDK..oh well good for them.. too bad all the funds didn't hit a charity but it was nice they did the first pair. @mercbezerk did the 4th of July pair say somewhere in the listing that it was heading to a charity?

@SoulFulFrog if memory serves me correctly, it was stated that the proceeds of the 4th July pair would be donated to a charity. Maybe not on the auction listing, but on an Instagram post.
Oh... I thought if it was a charity it would have been stated so on the listing. Perhaps to fetch more on the sale or for tax purposes..
