Hey everyone,

New member here, my name is Matthieu, based in Bordeaux, France, i'm 38 years old.

My relationship with X-Metal goes back further than most people my age.
My father was buying Oakley X-Metal regularly throughout the late 90s and early 2000s, Juliets, Romeos, the whole line.
Growing up, these weren't collector pieces to us, they were just objects on the table, in the car, part of daily life.
I remember the weight of them, the specific cold feel of the titanium.
He eventually gave most of them away or lost track of them. My bad.
No drama, just the quiet disappearance of things that seemed ordinary at the time.
I'm here because I want to find my way back to that.

The kid who grew up around those frames didn't disappear though, he just took a different shape.
These days I'm somewhere in the crossover between biker, cyber and street. I work in cybersecurity.
The X-Metal aesthetic felt like a design langage that matched something I already was

I'm looking for a Juliet titanium deadstock , exceptional, mint... but legit condition. Ruby Iridium or Iced would mean the most to me but I'm open. I'm patient and I'm not here to lowball anyone. I'd rather wait a year for the right piece.

I'm slowly building back. Already tracked down a rare apparel piece recently.

Before I buy anything I want to understand authentication properly.

Glad to be here.
