You would probably sell them quicker separately, selling as a pair would probably sit for awhile, there are a few members that buy 2 or 3 of one pair, but they have been out a long while so most of them have the ones they want or triplicates, also depends on how much your selling them for

I guess i'd bring out the popcorn to see what other members here would suggest for the selling price..
I got a good advice from a very reliable member that $1000 is definitely a good deal for the buyer if it is a complete set. But the average price is more like $1200. $1300 and up would be a good price for the seller..

Thanks. That is in the ball park of what I thought would be the case. Assume that if my sister-in-law's pair have the original colored box sleeve that it would be worth more than mine. That cardboard box probably bit the dust that Christmas morning in our house.

I think this price is high without the outer box. I’d say 800 would be about right. Maybe with the outer box you could get 1000. I really don’t think pb1’s pull the value they use to. There’s been a few times these rare pb1s show up ex. The tron and ducati and they sit quite a while. GLWS.

LOL. The mother's are disagreeing with you.... They are both laughing that they raised those boys, got them through college, and now both are married. My sister in law just called it her mom tax.... My wife told our son that what ever they sell for is the rent for storing them for him.... These mom's would move mountains for those boys, but they feel no regret in not giving any of the proceeds to them. I'm still laughing at them and amazed that this is a thing after them sitting on a shelf for 10+ years.

Ha! this thread feels like it fell out of an episode of collectors antique roadshow.

I am interested to be in line to purchase when you qualify for the exchange section! awesome story and an excellent find. I agree with the valuations on here where if at auction (eBay) with more overhead cost and exposure you could get more or less the market value. Perfect collectors grade would be what you would pick up in-store and of course the absolute would be a sealed unopened example. Even in-store, they would open the boxes to make sure everything is there.

I think a good price for your pair would start at $800 and the one with cardboard $900 if the condition is as expected. One fault on these pairs is the coating on the inside of the lenses even without wear tends to peel and delaminate. Definitely check that when you can, you should notice small wrinkles near the frame.
