Oakley is strong no doubt but I see disturbance in the force... it is not what it use to be and some of that is economy but a large part of it is people who do not know how to collect properly see Goldbergs prices on eBay and it turns them off... all that overpriced stuff sitting there waiting on someone who wipes their butts with benjamins to buy it is detrimental to a new collector coming on board. I hate it but as long as those who do that and the Japanese over priced listings are what a person sees that is what they will believe in. Kinda like politics in our country... you have to dig through all the shytheads to find the answers and there are too many of them to dig through for most people so we take their word for it. I send people to this site from eBay all the time trying to help them find the true and honest collectors.

Kind of like when I first started to buy Oakley's, the Subzero was truly ahead of its time, then slowly faded away after a couple of years, had a couple of pairs that got worn to death or broken and eventually ended up in the bin, didn't know about actually collecting at that time however, my mate and I always wished that Oakley would remake the Subs, who actually knew 30 years would go by and it would be resurrected even for a short while, I jumped at the chance to fill that void of not having Subs for so long, that I have at least 15 pairs now, very rarely wear any of them as I want them to be around for a long time, yes there is that chance they will delaminate over time, but also they are going to be more of a long term investment, if I can make a little more than what I paid for them great, otherwise happy to break even and just get approx my money back if and when I decide to sell.

I had all intentions of NOT buying these this morning. I set my usual "M-Experiment Alarm" that I set for all releases at 10:55 am central time. I went to the site at 11 and checked them out. I was impressed but I said I wasn't going to buy and I forgot about it until 4 this afternoon. I got on the forum and learned they were hand painted. Needless to say I had to pull the trigger and get a pair of the Gigs. They are too cool to pass up!

I got a pair of Gigs but now I’m regretting not getting a jig also

For those interested I painted each pair of this release. So each one will be different not one the same.

Did you paint these blue or did they start as a blue frame?
