Hi @wavecloud. Thanks for this. Can you confirm that you can engrave polarized and prizm lenses, please?

Yes - I think so. I’m not sure why it would be an issue over a non P lens to honest.. @Chris A Hardaway is there a known issue do you think?

@SiRacer420 used to be the only guy (I know) who did etching. But his machine couldn’t do polarized lenses.

Ah I see... My engraver has got a whole range of machines and methods so I’m 99 percent certain we can.

From what you said about the process a while back, I don’t think it’ll be an issue.

Oh it does them. It just makes a complete mess of the layer between the iridium and the lens itself.

We’ve had some issues with blasting - media going under stencil etc. That’s why I think diamond engraving is most failsafe. It’s simply a tiny router that grinds away like a CNC machine

Yep. And it burns the **** out of something in polar lenses.

Interesting... I guess that’s the layer that makes the lens Polarized
