Why does eBay and Etsy allow counterfeits?

Hello so I’ve browsing for certain items X-Metals to purchase and watches to compare mine to.

I noticed Etsy was selling fake GMT watches, I reported it and it said the report was denied.

I found some fake “Juliets” that were really fake Romeos on eBay. I asked for more pictures and they sent them over. I confirmed they were fake and I told them that in my response, and that they were fake Romeos.

I decided to report them the next day and eBay denied it. The seller also has a pair of X-Metal Madmen listed. Both glasses have bids with no reserve

Atttached is the response from eBay. Pretty similar to what Etsy responded with

I get your point on expiring patents. But there’s gotta be current models on there too.

I just wish there was some way to warn the ones bidding. That is if they’re not in on the scheme to make it look like a viable auction.

Can you imagine a word with no legit checks? Hahaha

Well, like I said unless Oakley steps in like they used todo before lux, it’s your word against theirs. I given up on eBay for the most part, every body there thinks their **** 💩 is gold. Every once in a while I might find something. But it’s far and wide. But I only collect old Oakley and that is getting harder to find
Like that $42K Carbon six?
