I 3D-printed a one-piece metal Eye Jacket a few days ago.
With a non-split orbital, you'd probably have too much unyielding weight on your face. The Eye Jackets do 'give', with their design, the O-matter flexes, but you wouldn't get anywhere near that flex occurring with 'X Metal Eye Jackets'.@BjorsIndustrial have you considered using
-Donor nose bridge and stems?
-trying non-split orbitals? This would emphasise the Eye Jacket theme
So, having tabs on the rear-interior of the orbit?@Funky-Trixtar : I'm talking about losing the splits and screws in the orbitals, not the hinged nose bridge.
It would make lens change quite hard, but If you'd moun them from the rear, with the rear edge consisting of two small tabs only...
