R1 Jordan IS "limited" bc of its seriAL, 10000 or less made. It was also made for the most famous athlete in the history of sports, and was a part of Michael Jordan setting precedent in the sports/fashion world. This is even more significant because no other athletes had sunglasses designed specifically for them. MJ did this with tennis shoes about 10 years before he did it with sunglasses. He was the first to have things produced just for.him, and than sold to the public using his "brand" to promote. This makes them worth a significant amount more than a regular R1, which has several hundred thousand produced.
