What was your first pair of Oakley’s and do you still have them?
My first pair was New Straight Jacket in Carbon / Black Iridium. No, I don't still have that pair, due to swapping them, but do posses a mint pair which I purchased just before getting rid of the originals. My first X Metal pair were Romeos Titanium / Gold Iridium. Which I don't have still, due to the lens issue: broke twice in as many weeks, so got replaced with Juliets in Plasma / Fire. I do posses these still and also own a pair of the afore-mentioned Romeo again.

My first pair was a custom order 1st or 2nd gen clear M-Frame with the smallest blue lens available at the time. The people at the store said I could place an order for exactly what I wanted, so I remember doing exactly that. Then it got stolen from me at work. Next time I saw an M-Frame it was built differently.🤙

My first pair was a Neon Yellow Blade with Orange Iridium (which everyone nicknamed Fire... probably why it eventually morphed into that name). That pair was very durable. I bought it for $75, and used it for bike riding from 1986-1989... through the woods, trails, dirt... never a scratch. I remember cleaning them frequently with a garden hose. That Iridium seemed more resilient than today's version. A funny story I tell is in 1991 my first car was stolen and crashed. The joy riders stole my speakers, Ray Bans, and other small stuff, but they left my school books (big surprise LOL), tennis equipment (which was pretty nice stuff), and my Oakley Blades... left safe in their neon yellow structured case HAHA!

I sold them in the early 2000's for $200... which was a profitable mistake. At that time I also sold my complete Plate and Zero 0.3... more profitable mistakes. IMO, Plate and Zero 0.3 were ahead of their time. I always got unusual looks and reactions from people when I wore them... not pleasant reactions like "oh cool"... more like "ew what the hell are they?"

My first pair of X-Metal was a Titanium/Ice Penny. I still have it, as well as a 2016 receipt from Oakley service when they decided to only tune up one side of the nose bridge LOL. It was obviously the correct diagnosis at the time, because the bridge is nice and tight 8 years later.
