So, just before he went on his mini-vacation to the beach, he went on national television to deliver a speech, telling the American people that the rich aren't paying their "fair share" of taxes. Wow! We've never heard that before from a Democrat in political trouble, have we?
Well, yes, of course we have heard that before, from a whole bunch of Democrats. Waging class warfare is what they do. It's in their DNA. Facts don't ever seem to bother them.
In his speech, Biden somehow forgot to mention that, according to the latest numbers from the Washington-based Tax Foundation, "The top 1 percent paid a greater share of individual income taxes (38.5 percent) than the bottom 90 percent combined (29.9 percent)." And "the top 50 percent of all taxpayers paid 97 percent of all individual income taxes, while the bottom 50 percent paid the remaining 3 percent."
You tell me: Who's not paying their fair share - the rich, or just about everybody else?
