Went for the Air Jordan 34.

The tech breakdown makes this more in line with their emphasis on performance last seen with the 28/29 vs. going out of their way simply to look distinct. Last mainline (non-retro) I went for was the 32, and that actually was solid. A bit suffocating for longer wears, top lace loops on the mid were flimsy, traction was iffy, but the containment and stiffness felt very proper imo.

The 34 does without any of those issues, is lighter, and easier to put on. The packaging of this pair was very cool, very in-line with what you expect a mainline Jordan to be — a premium performance sneaker with distinguished construction, marketed with an elaborate package to match and try to live up to the price they are asking for.

I keep saying this (and I guess we all do), but I wanted to slow down with the purchases. This kinda happened fast because the reveal was only like a couple weeks ago? We didn't even see leaks, but I immediately liked what I saw. Not my favorite colorway of the ones announced, but I really liked the overview of features and design.

Rest of the year for me so far has the Bred 11 (hopefully can double), Kobe V protro, Kyrie 6, and maybe LeBron 17 on discount.
