Any Sneakerheads In The House?

I also did get my Raging Bulls by other means after raining L's, and I hate to say that's probably the expected norm now. Judging how things seemed to have escalated last year with the Flint 13's, we've got a mix of wannabe resellers and just more aggressive resellers now. I mean I get it, some people are just playing to their strengths to make a living. It still doesn't sit with me when/how people get their pairs at the expense of others, vs. say a consignment shop taking in trades or being granted stock — at least that's something more established as a business.

This is the first time Raging Bull 5's retro'd and first time as a standalone. So end of the day, there's not much I can gripe about when demand is undeniable.

It is stupid though how previously less-prominent pairs became targets. Barkley's, Penny's, Uptempo's. Part of the issue is botched releases, but it's a departure from seeing Foams, Penny's and GP's sat. The Black/Royal 13's (well, I admit I didn't want those that bad) from not too long ago strikes me because I got my Black/Royal 12's in a stupid casual manner prior.

Also went for the Cosmic Unity today.

The announcement of the GT line kinda makes this underwhelming in the spec department in the short time it has existed. Was still interested in the low ride, the supposed insole that molds to the wearer's foot, and I've just never tried a Zoom strobel.

It's a prominently stiff feel so far. Not like clunky, but there's not the same articulation I fit with other shoes at the forefoot. I imagine this is a setup that only gets more felt under intensity.
Kinda noisy with the insole shifting over the Zoom strobel during movement, but containment feels really good inside the misole chassis.

With some shoes I feel there's too much reliance on the lacing system for security, but it's the other way around here. The sculpting and build of the shoe feel like they do the bigger part. The lacing stops shorter than I'd like actually, but it works. It's a nice take on a low-top.

Tongue is really good with managing lace pressure, and I like that the attachment is more traditional. No half-bootie or even elastic bands. It stays in place seemingly because of the dense foam Nike used for it.

Maybe only nitpick for now is the construction seems to suggest a very finite lifespan. It's seemingly strong but I don't see how well it fares in the long run with abrasion. But that might be something going hand-in-hand with the marketed sustainability/recycled use of material. Pro athletes burn through shoes fast, apart from maybe Foamposites. It's a bit moot to put in premium materials in that sense.

JD/FNL are like the last places that work for me haha.

Only thing I hit from there lately was the FR/Silver Tongue 5 restock because everyone was after I think the Holiday 11's at the time.

I cant win on FNL and JDS and even on their raffle but if you cart the shoe and cant check out just leave it there and if they do restock you can check out easily. So the people who got the restock from them are the ones who has the shoe in their cart since saturday. Im so lucky as i was ready to pay resale on these as i really want them, im so frustrated that i didnt get em last week. I was about to pay resale on ebay and negotiating with the seller for $250, luckily that solelink tweeted and gave a heads up to try and check out. LOL, im excited i will be getting them this saturday
