Anyone prefer older iridium to prizm lenses?

I agree my original Emerald, Fire, Ice, and Black IR lenses all handed wear and tear vastly better. To the point I dont recall ever having to replace them due to de-lamination or heavy scratching. Meanwhile PRIZM lenses have to be babied and are good for at best a year of heavy wear and tear

I think any 150 dollar plus pair of glasses should be handled with care. I know im careful with my glasses. Just behooves a person to show care with expensive items.

$150 is a good day with how things are now. But I agree, I take good care of my stuff, however its quite fragile todays material compared to what we used to get.

Yeah that's probably on the low end for glasses unfortunately. I just bought a pair of Gibstons, 160.00 dollars.

Gibston with DWP is my wife’s go to daily

Used to be Gibston with Prizm Sapphire prior

She moved to those when she wore her Scalpels into the ground

If you like a Neutral tint, then Iridium is great.
The old Flak-Beta on the rack at CostCo looks quite good, for Neutral.
There is definitely some contrast boost.

How do the xl versions fit? I’ve thought about trying them.

Most of us likely feel this way, but I see people do ignorant things with them.
A place where I have breakfast on Fridays, there is a guy who goes around with them on the back of his neck. I just do not understand that, but they are his glasses & his head, so be it if they fall on the floor & get stepped on. He has many different sets too, often Flak 2, but this week it was Sutro.

I know people who own $300 sets of Maui Jim who go fishing with them & lose them in the water.
LOL!
Those floating leashes do not work when your glasses have real glass lenses & are heavy.
