Anyone prefer older iridium to prizm lenses?

Ice was the first lens I ever experienced. At the time I was under the impression the subtle cool tint was a thought-out decision by the brand. It wasn't as obnoxious of a warm tint like found it like other brands; blue reflective coatings. It added the the overall impression about brand quality from a material and design standpoint.

I'm sure it's a value engineering matter for them to refuse to do mass production of the OG colors alongside the current Prizm colors, but I've been stuck daydreaming of an Ice Jawbreaker lens.

I do think you’ve hit the nail on the head in this regard. I agree that Oakley seemed to be going for very precise color science back in the day, hell they even published spectrometer (wavelength) charts for all their lenses!

I’m drawn to ice and the subtle mirrors (old Gold IP etc.), the mirror doesn’t affect the tint as much as the bright mirrors (fire etc.) and you can wear them with anything. Now they seem probably more focussed on the look.

I saw two subtle mirrors recently (other brands) that I wish Oakley offered - a dark forest green and an oxblood / dark purple - amazing.

What are other people’s favourite subtle mirror lenses?

Were these aftermarket lenses or an entirely different brand of sunglasses? Mind sharing a link or pics, if you got?

I remember a lot of cool marketing surrounding prizm at the time, and being intrigued by prizm trail etc. back in the mid 2010s.

Also a bit of a fan deep water prizm particularly on less bright days, and also prizm tungsten.

But the old iridium lenses, e.g. Gold Iridium Polarised, just have this feel that I haven’t been able to get from a prizm lens, particularly on bright days. Everything is balanced, not too saturated and no glare. I also prefer tungsten iridium to prizm tungsten as another comparison.

In full sun, almost as if prizm tunes in too much white to make colors pop, resulting in more glare? and they all have a rose boost which can make certain colors fatiguing after a while.

Don’t get me wrong, not saying they are terrible, just feel there is something special about some of the non prizm ones. Anyone else feel similar?
I prefer the old iridium lenses more especially the ruby iridium. Just loved the blue tint base coat
