Back In Here Again

Yeah the store sells "prescription" glasses to people who need glasses and Oakley Prada Lada Nada and what have you for people like me who just want to look cool wearing Oakleys without any prescription. I`m not a native english speaker so don`t really know any other terms for lenses with different strength in them.

Ahhh gotcha! You're all good brother, just another Oakley fanatic like the rest of us :)

Going back to the pinprick issues, Is this something that is known to happen? I would think Oakley have a very strict quality control.

So guys and gals, did i get ripped off buying my first ever Oakleys in a retail shop for $300? I can`t help noticing the pricepoint is much lower on ebay and online. I needed assistance finding a frame that would fit me, so i did get valuable help at the optician (person dealing with the sales of all types of glasses)

I have a couple more questions. Could someone please break it down to me how i read the small white numbers on the frames so i can understand them and know what to look for?! Right now i am blank, don`t know what to buy because of all these variable parameters. So what are these number saying?

Unfortunately my receipt don`t have the whole code, just says "00092" but i understand it is a standard Turbine model with ruby prizm/polarized. I was initially not considering the Turbines, i had other types in my sight but after realizing what would fit me was very limited, i went with the Turbines.

About replacing the Oakley lenses yourself, is this a widely accepted norm by now or frowned upon in the "community" ? I hear the optician saying they use a little heat to soften the plastic to do the surgery. Will this action void any Oakley warranty perhaps?

Don't use any heat when you change the lenses.
This explains what the numbers mean.
