You're totally right, I think the current trends are definitely blacks and greys with neutral earth tones. But Gen Z is definitely more into the Y2K aesthetic (my favorite). Lets hope Oakley can catch up. Let's move past the "Millennial Grey" aesthetic which is soulless most of the time. Just look at this warm, welcoming "home".

Just my opinion and its a old fart opinion but collaborations should always be outside the norms of the current fashion trends. It should be a step above it and even "trend setting." I might be wrong about this but I am almost sure when it was JJ's Oakley it was like that.

No, you are right. But first, we all know it's not J's Oakley anymore. And not to talk smack but the best thing to come out of M-Experiment in two years are some of their lenses (I love the Blaze and Silver personally) and Zach's wicked collabs. Like I said, I too would have preferred color flames and text.
But, to play devil's advocate there's only been three colorways so far. All of which haven't been done before and none of which are bad. The original NSJs with limited exceptions had about 3 color lenses Ice, Fire, and Gold as well as Black, Grey, and VRs. They released 40+styles over 6ish years and probably 20 were awesome.
As much as I agree with you. It's a hard task to want a fresh design that respects the past and is on the bleeding edge of trends. I would love if every design was a 10 out of 10. But, if the worst SJ or EJ they make is a 7/10 it'll still be cooler than almost anything else being made currently.

You are either into MEx or you are not... I am learning patience and loyalty pays when being one of their followers. Its more of a IDK, lack of a better word, chill party type group. I do love the collaboration with Zach they have and I expect to see that grow as time passes. The 1/1's he has done are legendary mastery and his talent really shines on display with those. I love that the company gives that opportunity to artist and backs the guys of the future of sports. Its all just good energy so that helps me be patient and chill while they work on their next idea and I assure you they are always cooking something even when it seems quiet. Maybe one day soon they will do something that gets your attention and come chill with us.

Just by pictures I actually think I like the Plantaris more than the NSJ. Im hoping the Plantaris is the darker pics towards the bottom of the Oakley page. I think I could live with that over the computer made pics. I do like dark browns and to date Tungsten Prizm is still one of my favorites to wear. I for sure liked the Plantaris over the NSJ with the Undefeated. Its funny too cause I think of all the SJ's as one of my favorite models.

Looks like you better make up your mind if you have not already on the NSJ and get it now on the Oakley site cause they appear to be sold out on BD even though they are famous for coming back in stock on that site. Just saying... people are snatching them up
