Easiest way to turn polished finish to Matte??

I've never done any refinishing on Oakley sunglasses. I bought a pair of split shots, new display, that have some marks on the ear stems and on the nose bridge and I'd love to turn these into a matte finish. What's the best / easiest way to do this for a rookie? If it didn't cost too much I wouldn't be against sending them to somebody else. Or is there a way to change them to another color that's not too difficult and I'm not talking about sanding and painting. I know somebody here uses vinyl dye, but I don't know how that's done or what they used.I'd just assume have them a mat black finish.

Anyway, thanks in advance.

Particle blasting turns polished black to light grey.
Easiest would be to apply a matte clear coat.

Wouldn't that be rough on the frame? So just spray with a matte clear, nothing else done to them?
Just prepare the frame like any other surface by sanding it. And then yes spray a matte clear coat with a can.
